Biological Dentistry, often also called natural or holistic dentistry, is growing in popularity. The reason being, that curing the cause of health problems always gives a better outcome in the long run. We understand that daily medication may help in the beginning, but a change of lifestyle, healthy nutrition and daily physical activity, combined with harmonic human relations is the only way to achieve permanent health.

Bio Dentistry aims at removing all interference fields in the jaws, such as interfering root canalled teeth, ostonecrotic NICO areas, impacted teeth, root leftovers or metal objects that were not properly removed.

NICO or FDOJ (fatty degenerative osteonecrosis of the jaws) areas are necrotic cavities in the jaws that can be diagnosted on 3D volume tomography. These cavities usually don´t cause local pain but contain hightly potent inflammation factors (RANTES and others).

To find out if there are any interference fields and how strongly they are disturbing, we perform interference field diagnostics, using methods of auriculomedicine. Certain laser frequencies are applied to reflex zones either on your ear or directly on the suspected jaw areas, and the appearance of a pulse reflex (VAS) tells us if there is disturbance in the related regions of the body or not.

Following eastern medical approaches, we are aware that all the energy meridians are also running through our jaws.

Conclusionally, if there happens to be any interference in this area, the whole body is being affected and not only the jaw regions.

Western medicine also is well aware that chronic, silent inflammation permanently triggers your immune system and thus promotes "civilisatory diseases" such as heart attacks and strokes, among many many others.

Also, if teeth have to be removed, biological dentists know that proper bone healing in the jaw area is essential to avoid the appearance of NICO at a later stage and to ensure good bone formation around an inserted implant. To achieve this, the bone must be disinfected by application of ozone and the bone cavity must ideally be filled with PRF, a derivate of your own blood that is centrifuged. PRF contains lots of growth factors as well as stem cells. Using these techniques allows us to remove teeth and place implants in the same session, boosting your own bodies’ healing abilities and at the same time avoid pain and swelling after surgery!

The use of metals or mercury amalgam for dental restaurations should absolutely be regarded as obsolete, since these materials are not fully biocompatible and in many cases lead to other problems. The safe removal of mercury amalgam is a must, following SMART guidelines to prevent further contamination of the body, such as special suction and dental rubber dam. We use only the best, proven biocompatible materials such as HEGMA and TEGMA free composites for dental fillings, full ceramic crowns and bridges and of course first-class zirconium implants to ensure long time success.

Missing teeth should be replaced as quickly as possible by a zirconium implant, before the jawbone in the area vanishes. The insertion of titanium implants is avoided by biological dental surgeons, as 80% of those implants show signs of chronic inflammation and may as well lead to "titanium-associated osteolysis" over time. We all have traumas and we have our own way of dealing with them. Some traumas sit so heavily with us that it would take years of psychotherapy to get over them. Since trauma causes blockage of energy flow and that again may lead to even severe diseases, some of us do no longer want to wait for years to solve their issues. With laser trauma therapy we are able to separate the memory of the trauma from the attached emotion, meaning you can think of the trauma, but it will no longer affect you.

To remove metals and other harmful substances that accumulate in the body over time, it is important to detox. Some of these depots cannot be eliminated by the body itself, so-called chelators are needed to mobilise binded metals. There is quite a variety of chelators that can be used to detox, either natural or artificial ones.

First of all, the actual quantity of toxic load has to be measured in order to chose the suitable detox therapy for you.

For some patients, daily intake of natural chelators is just enough, others have to be undergoing iv chelatation therapy. Torsten Heiler graduated in dentistry at the University of Jena, Germany, in 2005. He specialised in dental implants and bone grafting straight away and passed numerous trainings all over Germany and abroad. In 2015, he started his education in Acupuncture and graduated in 2021 with the DAA (Deutsche Akademie für Akupunktur). He is continuously trained in biological dentistry at Swiss Biohealth (SDS) in Switzerland.
